Romey

This Cincinnati dog has a happy ending kind of a story.

He was in a puppy mill for the first part of his life and unwanted after they were finished with him.

Puppy Mills are abominable p.s.

A shelter rescued him and named him Romeo because he was so affectionate...what a resilient little soul.

And then an Angel couple adopted him.

They call him Romey:)

Best guess on his breed is Bichon mixed with something pretty darn cute.

He has the absolute best life now and is showered with love and kisses...and respect.

He loves the other doggy in the house, Poppy, and grooms him everyday.....ummm all day.

His human mom says laughing,

"In fact, Romey is a compulsive licker.  He cannot stop licking, he's obsessed.....he even licks the air."

Bless his heart...Look at that face..100% adorable!

Buckeye

Yes, in Ohio we name our dogs after our college football teams.  #NationalChamps #hollah

Buckeye was rescued by a family who said they "would never get a dog...especially one that sheds."

So what did they do?

They went and got a white dog that sheds every two seconds:)

Buckeye has only had one major penalty so far.

He ate half the Christmas ornaments.

When the vet came in she said, "The X-Ray shows tinsel."

Thank goodness he was ok even though he did have some shiny poop that night:)....Merry Christmas!

Buckeye is a love bug who likes to cuddle with the two girls in the family and go on runs with Mom and Dad.  And look at those eyes...they are mesmerizing...

It's all about Buckeye. Because that's what

happens when you get a dog......

One day you swear you'll never get one, and the next day you're on hold with Pottery Barn trying to locate a miniature white chair to get his name embroidered on it.

GO BUCKS!!!

Reilly

I met Reilly on a beautiful sunny day in Swaim Park.

She was very excited and wouldn't stop moving:)

"She wags her whole body" the lady said.

It's true.

Kind of reminded me of a Goldendoodle version of Tas from Looney Tunes

But then out of nowhere she stopped and sat down.

And promptly stuck her tongue out at me:)

Mowgli

This is Mowgli the teeny tiny puppy.

He is impossibly cute...truly he is.

I feel like if Hollywood were casting a dog for a new 'Lil Rascals movie, he would get the part for sure......he'd look perfect hangin' in that clubhouse.

So, here's his story.....

Mowgli was found in the East End of Cincinnati with his brother.

Two wonderful ladies who are cousins took them both home respectively to keep forever. The boys are loved very much and get to see each other still.  #whatsupbro

Mowgli's new human mama took him everywhere with her and would ask everyone she met their opinion on a name.  Someone offered Mowgli, and that was it.

Best guess on his breed is Chorkie  (Chihuahua/Yorkie mix)....What?!?...even a cute breed name...no fair.

He is a big hit in his neighborhood.  All the kids run to see him after school.  And he is so affectionate.

                          By the way,
            His brother's name is Bagheera:)

Poppy

I met Poppy in the suburb of Montgomery.

He's a 6 year old Maltipoo.

I think his smile may be permanent.

Or maybe it was because he was on his way to Pet People to get bully sticks.

His human mom said:

"We named him Poppy so we could call him Pops when he gets older:)"

"And watch this trick......Where's dad?  Where's dad? "

And this is what he does:

I can't.......it was just too cute.

He stood like that forever.

"He doesn't like for his dad to be very far away," she said

Oh Pops,  you made my day!

Molly

When you just want to take a walk in peace and the puparazzi is stalking you...

I mean, look at that expression. I love it..she's over me before we've even met.  HA!

Seriously though, it was a comedy show.

Everytime I would kneel down to take a photo she would turn her back.

So.....I let her be and talked to her cute and super friendly human mom for awhile.

I found out that Molly loves sports.  The family calls her Air Bud.

Her favorite sports to play with the kids are basketball and soccer..she really gets in there with them.

But if there is a turnover and she gets the ball...game over.....she deflates it most of the time.

Kind of like Bam Bam, doesn't know her own strength:)

Sooooooo.....by this time, me and the mom are friends and......

Molly was beginning to think maybe she WOULD like to be on a dog blog and I snapped this pic

Look at that posture...what a beauty!

Molly is six years old. She's a gorgeous American Bulldog.

Thanks for giving me a challenge Molly. Have a nice walk...... I promise I won't follow you:)

Chance

I was lucky enough to meet Chance on his 14th Birthday...I thought my heart would burst!!

The big day was the reason for the rainbow colored lei around his neck....he was ready for the soirĂ©e.

What a handsome and distinguished gentleman.....love that salt 'n pepa look.

If Chance started speaking I think he would sound like Sean Connery;)

His human dad was walking with him and said that Chance really prefers his human mom.

When dad gets home, Chance runs to the door, realizes it's him, turns around and heads back to his bed.  Ouch!

When the mom gets home, it's a different story...he's all over her with kisses!

I'm guessing Mom gave him the pretty rainbow lei:)

Happy Birthday Chance..what an honor it was to photograph you.  Cheers to many more years...you're looking good brother!
