Sadie is a riot.
She is 3/4 Shih-Tzu and 1/4 Maltese......let's just get that straight right off the bat. She is 6 years old.
Sadie had some wild hair going on. "She needs a haircut!" her human mom said. But Sadie didn't seem to care. She acted like she had just woken up...she kept yawning:)
Her mama said, "I got this kind of dog because I was told they were low maintenance....but she is totally HIGH maintenance! She's already had 2 torn ACLs and she has seasonal allergies." Poor Sadie :):)
She let her off leash for a second so I could get a photo, and Sadie just started trotting down the street like she had places to go.....she made me laugh. She was like a little mophead just moseying down the sidewalk in Mt. Adams....I don't even know how she could see.
Sadie was full of personality, and her mom was smiling the whole time she was telling me about her. Another loved dog in Cincy:)

Misty
I spotted Misty at the Madeira Art Show this past Sunday.
She was sticking close to her human parents.
Misty is such a pretty girl...and I loved the lavender bandana around her neck....I could tell how much she is loved.
I struck up a conversation with her human dad, and he said that Misty is an Australian Shepherd who they rescued from a shelter. She is 6 years old. I could tell she was a little nervous, so I got down on her level to meet her. She was so precious and sweet....gentle.
They said, "She's shy in crowds, but a bullet at home." haha And you can see in the photo...from Misty's point of view, crowds can be intimidating to dogs.
I love all these stories of dogs being rescued. The majority of people I have spoken with have rescued dogs and they are so happy.
The Madeira Art Show was hopping with dogs and I have many more meet and greets to come in the next few weeks.
Madeira is a quaint little town on the East side of Cincinnati.
A train track runs right through the heart of downtown giving a nostalgic feel to the area. It is a great place to shop and eat and spend a day.

Theo
When I spotted Theo, I literally drove around the block to swing back around so I could meet him.
He's such a unique and beautiful dog...
Look at that smile ! He's as happy as everyone else in Cincinnati for some sunshine in our lives:)

I asked his human mama if there was any significance to why she named him Theo.
She smiled, "No, I just really loved the name." :)
Theo is a 2 year old rescue....the best guess on his breed is Basenji and Australian Cattle Dog.
I love the polka dots on his front legs.
He looks so tough.....like if there was a Navy Seal division of dogs, he would pass with flying colors. But his mom said, "He's really sweet.....he's super playful and a bit stubborn.
Thanks for chatting Theo and soak up that sun !

Ethel-Mae
This is Ethel-Mae from Mt. Adams.
"It's spelled M-A-E because she's Irish:)"
What a great name!
Ethel knows everyone in Mt. Adams and where they live.
She'll wait on her friends' front stoops until they come out and say hello.
Ethel's favorite place to hang out on the hill is Monk's.
Ethel-Mae is 16 years old and is as sweet and cute as can be.
Next time you're in Mt. Adams make sure to give her a shout-out!
